Start Up of a Subsidiary

“Mondo Search won the brief to do the full start up on the subsidiary for Campari International in 2009. The time frame was tight – three months to set up a full operational team of a team of 70 people nationally. We were instructed to identify leaders that would thrive in a start up and operate in an ambiguous environment.  This included being part of start up offices, new trading relations and a full scale operation. We reversed the hiring process to make the shortlist stage the final check point, rather than the first point. We requested that all applicants that we identified had completed full references and competency based questionnaires so that the first interviews were the point of offer. The candidates that were shortlisted had already upfront signed an intent for start and all salary negotiations were determined prior to shortlist. This process allowed speed to market and made the hiring process streamlined and efficient.
